Air source heat pumps use the same clever technology found in your fridge freezer. An electric pump absorbs heat from the air outside and compresses it so it reaches a high temperature. Then transfers all that lovely heat around your home.

Typical costs to expect

To replace your heating system with an air source heat pump typically costs between £6-15k, depending on how big and well insulated your home is. And you can spread that cost over 7 years (0% APR) 1 and reduce that amount through regular payments with the Renewable Heat Incentive.

The Renewable Heat Incentive pays you back

Cover the cost of switching to greener heating with up to £9,000 back from the government, which can go a long way in covering the cost of the air source heat pump. You’ll receive four payments a year depending on how much energy you’ve saved since switching to an ASHP, and it’s a huge help towards the cost. 2

What happens next?

  • Register your interest and one of our team will give you a call to check your home’s suitability
  • We’ll then visit you at home for a site survey where we’ll talk you through the options and quote for the work
  • When you’re happy with the quote, your ASHP will be installed by our trusted engineers

We may also need to update your pipework and/or radiators to get the best out of your ASHP. But don’t worry, our team of experts will talk you through any changes you might need in advance.
